My research interests revolve around the merging of the fundamental principles of gravity and quantum mechanics, embracing a fully relational stance. In particular, we are developing a theory that reduces to Shape Dynamics and relational QFT in appropriate limits.
More generally, I'm interested in the foundations of physics, including both philosophical and historical issues.
Also, the role of mathematical abstraction in physics and science features prominently in my thoughts. I believe one should seek a balance between purely abstract ideas (including the revision and questioning of standard mathematical structures) and empirical principles.
